About Me
My name is José Miguel Camacho and I am a Mexican American child of immigrants from Houston, Texas, with a bachelor's degree in Studio Arts and a Minor in Art History from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA, and currently pursuing a master's degree in art history at Hunter College in New York, NY. My skills lie in community programming, public engagement, academic research, art writing, educational facilitation, and diverse team collaboration. My professional goal is to create spaces for communities of people from all backgrounds to engage with and have conversations about art.
While my background is in graphic design, I have expanded my skills and passions to engage artistic communities in various institutions, museums, and galleries.
